Ellie GoffManaging Director
Ellie Goff is the managing director of Wellies-On Care Farm. Ellie grew up on her parents goat farm in Cambridge, her family have been farming for several generations. Ellie is a fully qualified teacher and has taught in a variety of schools and colleges. Ellie is passionate about ‘Care Farming’ and plays a key role in the work of ‘Social Farms and Community Gardens’ Ellie is also a qualified EAGALA (ES) practitioner and is therefore able to deliver Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and learning on site.
Emma LoweryCentre Manager
Emma Lowery is the Centre Manager for Wellies-On Care Farm. She is responsible for the day to day running of the service. She has worked at Wellies-On for almost 10 years. Prior to working at the farm, she worked as a service manager for Mencap working alongside young people in transition. Emma is also a qualified teacher.
Katie BallantyneCare Farm Co-ordinator
Katie Ballantyne is the Farm Manager; she is responsible for the day to day care and management of the livestock and land. Katie has a great deal of experience with livestock predominantly horses and goats, she is a keen horse rider and has taught horse riding in a previous job. Katie has a degree in Education. Katie is also an EAGALA (ES) practitioner. Katie has also had a lot of experience of working alongside younger children at summer camp in America.
Mick McFadyenGroup Facilitator
Mick Mcfadyen is one of our group facilitators. Before coming to the farm, he spent many years serving within the military and later training young recruits. He is passionate about the great outdoors and enjoys teaching bush craft skills. Mick has a lot of experience in delivering work-based qualifications such as health and safety, manual handling and first aid.
Warren GoffOperations Manager
Warren Goff has many years’ experience within farming and is responsible for overseeing the site as a whole. Warren takes the Flat pack farm out in to the community and is also the chap that makes the delicious ice cream!
Verity ChampionLearning Support
Verity Champion provides additional support to our young people. She works either as one to one support or with small groups. Verity is the youngest member of our team, she began with us as a volunteer before taking up a paid position. Verity is passionate about offering very person centred and tailored support.
Mick GardnerMaintenance Person / Support Worker
Mick Gardner is responsible for a large part of the site maintenance. He is a talented wood worker and has over the years built our veranda and sensory garden, built an allotment, created a sensory trail and each Christmas turns the entire farm into a winter wonderland!
Leonie O’LoughlinMental Health Practitioner (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and learning)
Leonie is part of our wider team, she is a qualified mental health nurse who also has a passion for horses. She supports the EAP sessions
