A good week – The Digging in Project

Monday looked like it wasn’t going to happen as at about 10.30 Beacon House phoned to say that they had people keen to come down to the farm but didn’t have any transport!

Not our limousine but we can dream!

Team Wellies-On to the rescue! Warren was roped in as “chauffeur” and took his six seater van to bring the keen group to the farm.

One of our sheds has been in desperate need of some TLC for quite some time and so this was today’s first task.

Lack of roof felt has meant we have had to be resourceful and fix a tarpaulin up as a temporary solution. If anyone has some spare roof felt, we can give it a good home…

Next on the agenda was the construction of an outdoor wash area near the shed. A frame was built using donated pallets. The sink still needs to be moved from its current location in the woodlands and then we will need to connect the water. We are placing bets on how wet Warren will get doing this.

Lunch was a warming bolognese with lots of scrummy mushrooms donated by Bonners Barn.

The busy day concluded with Warren donning his chauffeur hat again.
